Sometimes we come to crossroads and shifts in time where we cannot determine if we are strong enough or able enough to accomplish the things that are upon our lives. No matter how big of a personality a person has, no matter how gifted they are, and no matter how many assignments they have in their life, that person will sometimes have to sit in silence and remind themselves that “yes, I can do this”.
We take many things for granted. Things like getting up with the innate will to get dressed and start our day, but there are some people that simply cannot get out of bed in the morning because emotionally, mentally, and physically, they do not believe anymore that “yes, I can do this”. Sometimes a person is dealing with sickness or family problems and they don’t have the ability to move on through life. The purpose of this is to cause you to become more aware of yourself and the people around you. If you are at work, look to you right. You see that person, yes that one, they are a miracle walking. Somehow they had to say consciously or subconsciously “yes, I can do this”. Wherever you are, if you are in contact with another human being, introspect for a second and behold how they are alive and in the flesh because they can be that. What is the “it” in “Yes, I can do this”? The “it” is life. Life is happening all around us.
We should all keep that in mind that our living is not the only living that is taking place. There is life taking place all around us. We should keep that in mind even when we go to criticize or judge someone because the thing is whatever you are judging someone for, they still had to grab hold to courage to be or do it. We all have little nuances in our lives that make living difficult. Without the courage to say “yes I can do this”, those little nuances would take us out. Little nuances could be the rent for some or marital problems for others. The Isley Brothers sang “life is for the living, so let’s live it”. You can do all things because you are alive to do them. You can experience all things and survive because you have already survived the last second. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Life comes with a plethora of challenges. When you face those challenges, remember to tell yourself, “I can do this”. If someone tells you that things are challenging, no greater truth you could tell them than “you can do this”. You have to remind yourself and them that it is evident that they can do anything in this world including life because the evidence is in the breath. An old saying: what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.
Take it from me, someone that has had many loses in life, many setbacks, being betrayed by friends and friends not being true, some still not being true, if I did not believe I can do life, then life I would not have. You have to determine within yourself that you can do all things. Yes, You CAN do this!
