Advice for LGBT Coming Out and Being Public

This has been a journey, and it’s one that I am currently writing on. Stay tuned for when I post it.
There really isn’t a process that I followed to help me to become comfortable with my sexuality publically. It’s something that unfolded over time. But, I do feel that coming out to family members helps the process along quicker.
When those who are the closest to you know about your sexuality, especially if they accept you with open arms, it makes it easier to be okay with yourself publically. Today, I am married, and I make it known publically. Sure, there was a time when I would not have desired that for myself.
Another thing, I believe finding true love helped me to desire coming out with my sexuality. In my coming out experience article, I will talk about what coming out meant for me and how it slowly happened over time. It’ll show you that everyone’s process is different.
